Job Title: Commercial Construction Superintendent
Locations Available: Greenville SC, Nashville TN
Reports to: Executive Superintendent
Status of Hire: full-time, direct hire
Pay: $70-100k base (DOE) plus up to 10% annual bonus
Transportation: company vehicle + gas card provided
Industry: concrete, commercial construction
Objective: Responsible for overall leadership of field construction team (commercial), coordination and performance monitoring of trade partners, and quality control for the assigned projects.
Position Responsibilities:
Provides day-to-day leadership and supervision to assigned project/site construction managers and assistant construction managers
Spends the majority of time in the field working side-by-side with and leading direct reports
Evaluates performance of trade partners (works with and directs subcontractors) and works collaboratively with internal purchasing and other departments to ensure performance expectations are met
Keeps accurate documentation as it relates to daily work logs, progress reports, inspection reports, quality, etc.
Ensures direct reports understand the value of and execute against the Company’s construction and quality standards, including implementation and consistent use of Company procedures, guidelines, checklists, etc.
Position Qualifications:
High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the commercial building industry (concrete and slab work preferred) and construction project field management is required
Extensive knowledge of the construction industry, including the ability to read and interpret blueprints, improvement plans, etc.
Knowledge of relevant building codes and all scopes of work
Must be proactive with the ability to multi-task and follow through with projects containing a high level of detail
Proficient in all Microsoft applications, experience with Viewpoint Vista (ERP) and cloud-based file sharing programs would be a plus
